I hope all the cricket fans will be very interested in this topic. The topic may be simple and also a known concept, but I am going to tell the hidden facts behind this. The cricket bat was first used in 1624 and in olden days the wooden stick which is similar to a hockey stick was used. Now also you can see that the handle of the bat looks like a hockey stick. Bats typically weigh from 1.1 to 1.4 kg though there is no standard. The handle is usually covered with a rubber or cloth sleeve to enhance grip and the face of the bat may have a protective film. When you see the old day bats, you can see the difference between the olden and modern bats today.

We can say that bat is an example of Newton’s first law of motion. Every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state of motion unless an external force is applied to it. The above law is called as the Newton’s first law of motion. The cricket bat follows this because it remains in uniform motion unless your external force applied to it. Unless you put external force, the bat does not move, so it follows the first law of motion. Also, the cricket bat and cricket ball is an example of Newton’s third law of motion. What is Newton’s third law of motion? For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. So the bowler bowls the ball to a batsman and the batsman react to it by hitting the ball. So for the bowlers action, the batsman give the equal and opposite reaction.

The quality of the cricket ball and bat is importance because the low quality in these both makes the player uncomfortable. Here is a perfect example for the quality of the bat. Do you watch the recent series between the Australia and India? Hope everyone would have known that India won by the remarkable performance from sachin tendulkar. Also, in the newspapers they have mentioned that, the bat which Sachin scored a double century is used by him long time and with the same bat he has hit thirteen centuries. Using the bat long time is not easy and from a batsman who is rotating the strike regularly may have used the bat well and it depends completely on the quality of the bat. Similarly the cricket ball that is not up to the quality changes the course of the match. So whenever you buy both the equipments, give importance to the quality.

So, I hope from the above paragraphs you would have come to know the role of these equipments in cricket. So if you want to be a famous cricket player, along with good practice in cricket, you need both these equipments that are of good quality. For each game, different bats and balls exist. If you are professional player, buy the professional cricket bat and supreme country cricket ball. Similarly for each type of game, different bats and balls exist.
